The International School of Advanced Studies (ISAS) plans, organises, and coordinates the programmes for the obtaining of the PhD degree.

The Doctoral Degree programmes currently active in Unicam cover six areas:

• Architecture, Design, Planning
• Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biotechnology
• Computer Science and Mathematics
• Legal and Social Sciences
• Life and Health Sciences
• Physics, Earth, and Materials Sciences

ISAS has a strong international, intersectoral, and interdisciplinary value. Research activities in public and private laboratories outside UNICAM, and a research period abroad are strongly encouraged.
